The vest fits well and seems built to last. I use it for walking to increase my heart rate while not hurting my knees like running would.

This vest is amazing; I just received it in the mail and I already love it. The weight is distributed properly to limit stress on the back, knees, and shoulders! Even though it says shipping will take 2-3 weeks, I received mine 2 weeks early!! Only took 8 days to get here and I am impressed with the quality of this vest. Nobody can beat American Made products in my book. This is just another reason why I love my country!

    Amazing quality

Amazing quality, but so heavy. Great for push ups or pull ups and you can even run in it if you secure it tightly enough. I would still recommend the 45lb version since the weights are so easy to remove.

    Great TRX aid

I enjoy working out with the TRX because I can do so outside and because at 56 using my own body weight makes good sense. However, I was forced to up my reps to get a decent work out, and at a certain point, I didn’t think I was realizing the benefits I wanted, ergo, my interest in a weight vest. And in fact the V-Force has considerably improved my use of the TRX. So if you’re a TRXer, you need to get one!I priced several weight vests, and though the V-Force was more expensive than the others, I was impressed by the reviews it received. So I paid the extra bucks, and I think that it’s worth the price.

    V Force came through

Wow, I have used it only for a week, ran with it, did pull ups, push ups, dips, squat jumps, I’m only 155lbs used only 20-25 lbs for the above exercises, and was sweating faster and doing half the reps I felt I got a great workout , on top of a very nice vest that is put together and made very well.Super fast shipping for such a heavy product as well.

Worth the money versatile piece of equipment

I currently workout at home and mostly use bodyweight training. I felt it was time to add some weight and after about a month of searching decided on this. This vest can be incorporated in to most of my workouts and i have already started to see gains, both in terms of strength and size. It is also more comfortable than I thought since I have seen reviews of other with this complaint. It is costly but if you need a good piece of home workout equipment it is highly recommended.

    made in USA! Great vest

Update #3Been using this about once a week during the fall / winter / early spring for a few years now. I dropped to 12.5 lbs as anything higher was making my workouts too hard. I also started using a chest strap heart rate monitor and I was concerned it would not fit under the vest. Turns out it fits perfectly, there is just enough space for the monitor under the center of the vest, towards the bottom. However, I am 6’4″ so if you are shorter the strap might be too high up on the vest.Update #2I managed to work up to 22.5 lbs with this vest before summer began (the vest is too hot during the summer) . For my workouts 22.5 was a little high, I ended up being too slow to get the most I could out of my workouts. Additionally, the extra few weights restricted my mobility more then I liked. I will move back to 15 or so lbs in the fall and keep that weight for a while. I would still highly recommend this vest, it is still very comfortable.UpdateI am now several months into this vest and I am still very happy with it. I am up to 17.5 lbs (I have been adding one 2.5 weight per month) and I use it 2-3 times per week. I have put this vest through a lot and it still looks brand new and it is still comftorable.BackgroundThis review is for the wider shoulder model of this vest.I am a personal trainer and I do cross fit / boot camp style workouts. I have been doing these type of workouts for 3 years so I am very experienced with the types of motion. So far I have used this vest for 5 1 hour workouts. I only have 11 lbs in it at the moment because I am going to slowly work up to more weight.I have used one other type of weighted vest I am not sure what model it was but it sucked.I am also 6’4″, 215lbsI have taken this though its paces including running, push ups, various kettle bell and dumb bell work outs, and lower body workouts (like squats and lunges)Pro’s- This vest is very conformable, I can not state this enough. I do not feel the weights dig into my chest etc.- The fit is tight, which is good. It does not move when I run which is more then I can say about the last vest I had.It is also not so tight that it feels like I can not breath.- The weight feels evenly distributed, it is not all on my chest.- As other reviews have said this vest feels very well built- Its easy to take off and put on the vest, and can be done so quickly. Important for cross fit exercises that have an abs component because you can not really do exercises that involve laying on your back. This would be the case for any vest.Cons- I can not do the full range of motion for push-ups because the vest sticks out about 2-3 inches from my chest.- I chose the wider shoulder model because I thought it would be more comfortable when running. The downside is there is some rubbing wen I do shoulder and other arm exercises. Its not a huge deal since I wear a shirt underneath the vest and I am already starting to get used to it. But if you went shirtless it could be more of an issue.- The instructions on how to put the vest on the first time that came with the vest made no sense. You also need two people the first time. Find a youtube video and expect to be confused. Once you figure it out however its very easy to put on the vest.ConclusionI am very happy with this vest and I feel like I bought a quality product that will last a long time, so the price is worth it. The only other vest I was interested in was the Titin vest which seemed like a great vest, but $250 for an 8 lb vest is a joke. At 11lbs I am already ready to add more weight to the V-Force vest after only 3 weeks of use.

Best value weight vest on the market!

I believe this is the best overall weight vest on the market. I don’t think you will find a better quality weight vest at any price. It is made of the same materials used to make U.S. military body armor. You’ll find fancier designs at much higher prices. This is just your basic tough well designed weight vest.

    Outstanding Product

After searching for best quality and value I decided to go with the 45 Lb. V-force Full-camo Short (Coyote Tan, Narrow 3-1/4″) with the Sweat-stopper Liner to match. As soon as you take it out of the box you can appreciate the heavy 1000-D Cordura and how well built this product is. I was also glad to see that the Sweat-stopper Liner was perfectly attached to the vest, which means that someone took the time to attach and check it manually before shipping (not like other products where the parts don’t fit very well). As part of reviewing the package I took all the weights from the vest and was happy to see that each weight is perfectly coated and labeled, once again a great mark on attention to detail and craftsmanship. I love using it for my workouts, always stays in place even while doing burpees, jumping-jacks, an array of pushups (including inverted pushups), pull-ups, gymnastic rings and running (doing burpees with 45lb attached to your body puts things into perspective). Will gladly recommend this vest.

Perfect fit for a picky military man

My husband had spent a couple of months searching for a weighted vest to enhance his PT in preparation for military training. The vests found at sporting goods stores and box stores were uncomfortable and moved around too much. I found this one online and took a chance. Best purchase ever! The vest is very well made and similar in style to MOLLE gear. The weights are compact and perfectly sized if you need to lighten and redistribute the load. My husband inspected every inch of this vest before he used it for a workout. The stitching, binding, straps, buckles, etc. are everything you would hope for in a product that will be used on a regular basis. I purchased the narrow shoulder style to allow for more mobility in free weight training and pull-ups. He has worn the vest for running, weight training, and upper body training (pull-ups, push-ups, etc.) and hasn’t complained about chafing or pinching.I was also very happy with the shipping. The seller attached the liner before shipping both items to us. They arrived way ahead of the estimated delivery and included information about the product and seller. It did arrive via USPS, so we had to pick it up at the post office due to the weight of the package.

    Best Vest On The Market.

First off, I am the type that when I buy something, I like to research and find the best quality and the best value. I rarely buy on impulse. I had in mind to buy a vest that was under $100 and more weight. After researching and reading reviews I came to the conclusion that the V-Force is the best vest out there. I know it is made in the USA so that makes it that much better. You can go to weightvest.com and read their story. I wish I had purchased through their website because you can buy a liner, hydration pack and other accessories at a discount when you buy through weightvest.com. If you are in the market for a vest, I would not buy a cheaper one. This a solid well built vest. Definitely high quality. No sandbag weights to bust and spill sand like you find on cheaper vests. I have mowed my lawn in the vest, ran in the vest and worn the vest while working out at the gym. I have done balance work with the vest as well and I plan on using it for hiking and biking. My thought is carrying more weight will improve my fitness so when I run a 5K or race a local MTB race, I will be better conditioned. The vest adds another level to your workouts. It is comfortable while wearing but when you take it off, man you feel so light. I love the short/narrow vest because it allows for more mobility. The vest fits snug but not so tight I feel constricted. It doesn’t bounce aroud nor does it feel like a torture device. I have noticed that the vest improves my posture even loaded with the full 45 Lb. I can start an activity and not be sweating, then put the vest on and man the sweat flows. I have started activities with the vest on, gotten tired and taken it off and the rest of the activity feels like a cool down. Using a weighted vest is definitely intense. If you are just a casual workout person, it may be too much but in that case, you probably aren’t looking at weight vests. The vest is a conversation starter so be prepared for strangers to ask, “whats that thing you are wearing”. When you tell them a 45 Lb. vest, they look at you like you are psycho. I’m all about Psycho workouts. I believe the vest will hold up but only time will tell. It is worth saving your money and buying the best vest out there like I did. I’m happy with my vest and love using it. Just be smart, listen to your body and don’t overdo it. Start with a little weight and slowly build up. Don’t be stupid and let you zeal lead to injury.

This is a spectacular weight vest. American made, not some piece of foreign trash. The vest rides very well for doing bodyweight exercises as well as running and jumping rope. I will certainly recommend this vest to friends and if some how it does break I would buy another one. Great purchase.

    Best Vest!

Definitely the best weight vest out there. Great quality. Looks like it will stand the test of time. It’s already the most hated (in a good way,) piece of equipment in the firehouse gym. 45lbs is just enough without being to cumbersome. Get the narrow shoulders if you want to do anything with your arms raised.(burpees, pull-ups, ect.) it’s still super comfortable.
